Eyes are the most precious organs of the body. As some philosopher said, "they are the windows to our soul". Unfortunately, they are the most neglected organs of our body.

The Healthy Eye Foundation is a forum of doctors with a mission of promoting networking and continuing education among ophthalmologists & eye care professionals. Working towards achieving millennium goals about prevention of blindness & promotion of scientific and cultural exchange among ophthalmologists around the globe especially South East Asia.

Care of eyes should begin early from childhood, so that they may remain healthy. An ophthalmic checkup at preschool stage is mandatory to exclude any kind of refractive errors, or any other problem that may impair vision at a later stage. When diagnosed and treated properly at this age, many diseases can be cured.

As the child starts going to school the burden on the eyes gradually increases. One has to strain his eyes constantly to read, write, watch TV, computer, etc. At this point it becomes very essential to learn how to give rest to the eyes and relax them. More......
